Add the WristCodes shortcut to a compatible watch face. Open your cards with a tap, right where you last left off.
SUPPORTED CODES & READERS
WristCodes supports five code formats. Your gym, library, or store also needs a reader that can scan a screen.
WristCodes supports Code 128, UPC-A, EAN-13, EAN-8, and static QR codes containing text or links. That covers supported membership, library, loyalty, and club cards. The app recreates the code in its own format and checks the result before saving. Codes must fit clearly on the Watch.
Your reader needs to scan phone or Watch screens. Some laser readers only read printed cards. Test your saved code with the original card handy before relying on WristCodes.
Scan a static QR code or import a photo, check its contents, and give it a name. It appears as a crisp square on your Watch with a clear white margin. After syncing, the code is available offline. A link inside a QR code may still need internet access on the device that opens it. Very dense or unsupported QR content is rejected.
A coupon using a supported format can be saved, but the retailer decides whether it accepts a code displayed on a screen. Some require the original paper coupon or their own app. Saving a coupon does not extend its expiry or change one-use restrictions. GS1 DataBar and other unsupported coupon formats cannot be added.
WristCodes saves a static copy. It cannot refresh rotating tickets or access credentials, extend validity, or check whether a pass has already been used. Use the issuer’s app for codes that change over time. Binary-only QR, GS1-128, and FNC1 QR formats are outside the current scope.
No. You use your paired iPhone to add and manage cards. Once the Watch has received them, they’re stored locally and work without a nearby phone or internet connection.
An iPhone running iOS 17 or later and a paired Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later. Camera scanning depends on device support; photo import is also available. The Watch app comes with the iPhone app.
